Gregory started his career creating hit after hit for Alvin Ranglin and GG's
records. "Border", "Tune In", and countless others were
released through GG's and Gregory's own African Museum Records. As his career
was in full swing, he signed to Island Records and, along with co-producer
Flabba Holt, recorded (in one night) the Night Nurse album which, to this day,
remains one of reggae's consistently best selling albums. After a brief spell
with island Gregory released a number of sub-standard (For Him) albums
until his career skyrocketed again during his stint with producer
"Gussie" Clark. From Private Beach Party to "Rumours",
Gregory re-established himself as the great artist everyone had known.
