RAS Records is proud to present Prince Malachi, a new roots artist who has come forth from England.  From the very beginning of his debut, “Jah Light”, (released in the UK on the Mount Arafat label), it becomes apparent that Prince Malachi has created an important record, full of conscious and spiritual reggae music that conveys an intensity and a sense of urgency.  Malachi’s voice is very bright sounding, and his melodies are highlighted by the colorful rhythms presented by the live band.  Prince Malachi has been building a strong following in the UK, and the singles “Leave it to Jah” and “Respect” were previously released in the UK as a 12” single, which gathered this new roots messenger much praise and a broad and international audience.  Black Echoes Magazine called Prince Malachi, “the most important new roots singer to have emerged in years”.
